What is the BABA Act?
The Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) is a federal law that requires products used in federally funded infrastructure projects to be manufactured in the United States. Introduced as part of the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, BABA strengthens domestic manufacturing by ensuring that U.S.‑made goods are prioritized in public infrastructure. The act supports American jobs, reinforces domestic supply chains, and promotes long‑term investment in U.S. production.
