At VPI Quality Windows, we’re passionate about creating high-performance vinyl window and door systems that make buildings better, more beautiful, more efficient, and more livable. That’s why we were thrilled to be part of the Nichols Court Apartments project in Seattle, Washington. This inspiring development is all about community, inclusion, and opportunity, and we’re proud to play a role in making it happen.

A Community-Focused Vision

Nichols Court is a six-story affordable housing development located in Seattle’s Othello neighborhood, known as the most racially diverse area in the city. Developed by the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI), the project provides 148 affordable homes for families and individuals earning up to 50% and 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). It’s a powerful step toward preventing displacement and creating long-term housing stability.

Collaboration That Matters

Working alongside the talented teams at Walsh Construction Co. and Runberg Architecture Group, we helped bring this vision to life with energy-efficient windows that deliver comfort, security, and performance. Our products are engineered to meet the demands of urban multifamily construction, keeping homes quiet, cozy, and cost-effective while supporting sustainable building practices.

Designed for Living

Nichols Court isn’t just about housing; it’s about building a thriving community.

The building features:

  • A large community room for events and gatherings

  • A children’s play area for safe and fun recreation

  • A fitness center to support healthy lifestyles

  • A resource room for job searches and support services

  • A beautiful outdoor courtyard with seating and landscaping

And at street level, the Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA) operates an early learning center with six classrooms serving over 100 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. It’s a place where families can grow, learn, and connect.

Windows That Make a Difference

Our team at VPI Quality Windows provided custom window solutions that fit seamlessly into the building’s design. From thermal performance to noise reduction, our windows help create a safe and welcoming environment for residents. It’s just one more way we’re helping build better communities, one window at a time.
