Designing Mid/High-Rise Structures with uPVC Windows & Doors

PART I

This course is designed to provide architects and specifiers a foundational learning experience on the fundamental aspects of uPVC window & door systems and expand on that knowledge to be self-sufficient in selecting the right products for their projects, and executing their design work efficiently as it pertains to punched opening windows and doors.

1 Credit

This course focuses on differentiating uPVC window and door products based on constructability, performance, and aesthetics. It explores design limitations, frame comparisons, mulled vs. common frame systems, and integration strategies for efficient design.

Window and Door Performance Standards, Energy Codes, and Acoustic Design for Commercial Products

1 Credit

This course dives into the technical performance standards and regulatory frameworks that govern fenestration design. Topics include ASCE7 structural load calculations, AAMA/FGIA certification, NFRC thermal ratings, and energy code compliance paths (IECC, ASHRAE, ENERGY STAR, PHIUS).
