The Fundamental Aspects of uPVC Window & Door Systems

1.25 Credits 

PART I

This course introduces the fundamentals of uPVC window and door systems, covering material properties, design limitations, and performance comparisons. Participants will learn best practices for evaluating options, designing combination units, and preparing for effective design reviews.

Air, Water, Structural, and Thermal Performance

1 Credit

This course explores the critical performance aspects of fenestration systems, including structural, air, water, and thermal requirements. Participants will learn how ASCE7 and AAMA/FGIA standards guide specification, testing, and compliance, while gaining insight into energy efficiency, cost impacts, and future trends in sustainable design.

Acoustics, common code conditions, & efficient design concepts

1 Credit

This course examines acoustic performance, code requirements, and efficient design strategies for fenestration systems. Participants will learn how to evaluate sound ratings, meet safety and accessibility codes, and apply design concepts that enhance building performance while reducing costs.
